The Community Child Care Center Board

Community Child Care Center is a nonprofit organization that is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is an all volunteer board and is made up of the parents and grandparents of students, both past and present, community members, and teachers. The center director and assistant director work closely with the board in an advisory capacity. The Board of Directors is responsible for the policies and financial aspects of Community Child Care Center. Regular meetings of the Board are held on the first Tuesday of each month. Written minutes from the regular meetings are distributed to the Board members after each meeting. Special meetings of the Board can be held at any time with at least 24 hour notice being given to the Board members.

The officers of the Board include the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. Other officers and assistant officers may be deemed necessary and may be elected or appointed by the Board. Two or more offices may be held by the same person, except the offices of Chairperson and Secretary and the offices of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.

The Chairperson is the principal executive officer of Community Child Care Center. The Chairperson will control and manage all the business and affairs of Community Child Care Center. This person will notify Board members of meetings, conduct regular and special meetings as determined by the Board, and perform other duties as may be described by the members of the Board.

The Vice Chairperson shall perform the duties of the Chairperson when he or she is unable to complete those duties. The Vice Chairperson shall perform other duties as assigned by the Chairperson or the Board.

The Secretary shall attend all meetings of the Board and shall maintain all records of the meetings. The Secretary shall record all votes and minutes from the meetings and distribute the minutes to the members of the Board. The Secretary shall perform other duties as assigned by the Board.

The Treasurer shall be responsible for the accurate accounting of receipts and disbursements. The Treasurer shall develop budgets, review monthly income/expense statements, and inform the Board of the financial status of Community Child Care Center.

The Board of Directors is always looking for new and exciting members to join our Board or attend our meetings. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure learning environment for the children who attend our center while fostering their emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development through play and hands on activities. Family members or community members with questions, comments or new and exciting ideas are always welcomed.
