We are a 5 Star YoungStar Rating Facility!

Appleton's Community Child Care Center, Inc. was founded in 1968. It is the oldest child care program in the Fox Valley. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and run through a volunteer Board of Directors made up of parents, grandparents and community members at large with backgrounds and experience beneficial to the organization. We are currently doing business under the name of Community Child Care Center (CCCC), located at 208 South Pine Street in Kimberly, WI.

Community Child Care Center provides a safe and secure learning environment for children ages six weeks to twelve years while fostering their emotional, social, physical and intellectual development through play and hands-on activities.

The use of the Creative Curriculum helps children acquire important skills to become lifelong learners. We nurture the child's development of social values such as kindness, helpfulness, personal responsibility and respect for others.

Community Child Care Center uses the Creative Curriculum which is rooted in child development theory and practice. In this framework, children interact with materials and their peers and use the learning environment -- indoors and outdoors -- to see themselves as capable learners. We believe that play is the natural and most effective way children learn. Through play, social interaction with peers and hands-on activities, your child's cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth is enhanced.

Our teachers build on your child's interests and strengths to meet his/her individual needs. Each age group has its own developmental goals. Our curriculum includes developing the following:

Infant to One Year Olds

  • Interaction with caring, nurturing staff that builds a sense of security and trust.
  • An environment that promotes achievement of developmental milestones.

Two to Three Year Olds

  • Independence in a secure, consistent environment.
  • Self-help skills.
  • Language and social development.

Three to Four Year Olds

  • Cooperative play
  • Active curiosity through exposure and exploration
  • Listening and communication skills

Four to Five Year Olds and Over
